I'm of the school of thought, Jared, that when recounting previous experiences with a band you should stick mostly if not exclusively to the good stuff, and this review is a good example of why. Much as it's well written I'm not sure who it's really useful to; you say you find them overrated, pretty much, and then continue to assert that this record is average (much like you imply their previous output to be). You know what I'm saying? And for the record I agree with you on your points, I'm just not sure spending your entire opening paragraph discussing how the hype never made sense to you is a constructive way of getting people to believe that your opinion about their new album is objective.
