Rosco, I've had my lawyer check my SputnikMusic contract & there is no mention of X-factor, only the Idol franchise. LOL. I may check it out in May.

I think it's fair to say that the word "Idol" now has a stigma attached to it.
And Rosco, you know 3/4 of the pop & rock singers around would not get into the top 10 of Idol or any other similar show.

Hmm well I can certainly see the meaning of your argument. 3/4 is a bit steep though isn't it? I mean sure the successful entrants of talent shows have to have some raw talent, but due to the judging method (Danni Minogue for crying out loud!) the lucky few are being groomed to weed out those who may not fit the image the show wants them to fit (even as early as the first performance). If you then factor in the mostly predictible voting patterns (based on a representative cross section of fans) you end up often with a winner who was far from the best musically. Even you alluded to this in one of your staff blogs.
