Nice review. I just picked this up last nite, and I'm loving loving it.
I don't know how I lived with out. Yes, I've not had it very long, but in the short time, and two listenings, I've become greatly enamored.

When I first got this album, the part in between the first 2 tracks where Mangum sings about Jesus for about a minute REALLY threw me off, but I've grown to love this album.

I think you spelled "God" wrong, there.

According to Rolling Stone, this album is "thin-blooded, woolgathering stuff". Bah.

Rolling Stone is old-fashioned. They don't seem to understand modern music.

I bet if Anne Frank was still alive she would listen to this and cry. This album is still amazing.

As a way to compete for my affection, pulseczar and Eliminator Jr. have both sent me NML songs. I'll decide who is the victor tomorrow after they have each taken me out for dinner.

I love this album so much. There is no moment that it is not absolutely perfect.

Eliminator Jr. was successful in courting me. Holland, 1944 and Two-Headed Boy were very convincing of how much he wants me.

Holland 1945, you mean. And if that song is good enough to have been one of his old usernames, then it should be good enough for anyone.
Hope he took you somewhere good for dinner too.
