oh man, i feel like a dick.
i came into this thread to mention HOW AWESOME tonights show was. tbh, my heart to joy stole the whole show.
oh and castevet has to change their name because the black metal band sued them.
ssc sounded kind of less inspired than when i would see them in high school.
john galm owned this stupid bitch i don't like when i was smoking a cigarette and she got super butthurt, was cute.

Know what's cool? Having things to say and not always trying to one up people on the internet like a social retard.

Overview of tonight:
Boyfriends, really good sound, vocals were spot on, tons of energy... missed the first few songs waiting outside for friends.
Midi And The Modern Dance, sound was still good, Omeed's voice was a bit all over the place in terms of staying on key... he's starting to sound a bit like Cody Bonette, especially when he screams... the screaming was a nice little touch they've added. Band is really brilliant.
My Heart To Joy, vocal mic started going out... but oh my god, such an awesome performance. Their set was by far the tightest and most varied of the night, and seriously, that band is energetic. Farewell To A Raincloud is probably the best song. They were giving out their new EP for free and I forgot to pick it up when I was leaving.
Some band I didn't know played they were eh.
Castevet is always 20x better live than on recording, and they're really good to begin with. Sucks about the name change business.
SSC... really good set to be honest, they played everything you'd expect, and John's screaming was absolutely ridiculous. It's unfortunate that everyone was just crowding forward and pushing each other around though, because, number one the band kept asking everyone to back up because they had no room to play, and two, my friend's glasses got broken.
Great, great, show. The guy who runs the American Legion said he wants to start holding more shows, I'm psyched cause that's so close to where I live.

I'm jealous of the scene you apparently live in the middle of.

midi always sound awesome live, omeed has seem to have gotten a lot more confident.
wait are boyfriends the band with the real short singer/bass player?
didn't like mhtj when i saw them live, but sounds cool.
What did Castevet change their name too? I've always digged their sound, especially when they get mathy.
Still really bummed I missed it, but I'm coping. Have you seen The World Is live yet?
sounds awesome about ssc. That's odd tho, one time when I saw Snowing live, Galm yelled at this kid who was smoking right next to him.

i think castevet just dropped the vowels idk
and when you saw snowing was it at the secret art space? cause they're like really adamant about not smoking cigs outside the door because the neighbors always complain.
I'm jealous of the scene you apparently live in the middle of.
it's pretty awesome when good bands play, but there's so much mediocrity that just rides on snowing's coattails.
