He also used to play guitar for 18 Visions. The riffs in "Vanity" were actually halfway decent... which equals GREAT when compared to Throwdown. Fuck Throwdown.

besides those quotes from my comments earlier, how about this: the songs are pretty catchy, the breakdowns aren't original, but they're heavy and serve their purpose well (i.e. bobbing your head in your car, providing cheap energy) and the keys add an atmospheric element that works without sounding cheesy.

eh, I think if you like ATR and you've never heard Bleeding Through, this is probably the best place to start. This or This Is Love, This Is Murderous. But, there are definitely other metalcore bands you should try first.

All That Remains does have that ONE album I like...

I think both Bleeding Through and All that Remains have some cool songs, but I wouldn't want to listen
to either for a full album.
