1st listen: It's not bad.
2nd listen: Hmm, I think I really like this, despite it being more "chill" for Beck.
3rd listen: Fell in love with 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow', 'Nessun Dorma', and 'Corpus Christi Carol'. 'Hammerhead' is pretty sweet too. How f*cking awesome is it that Jeff has a 64-piece orchestra accompanying him?!
After that, I ended up loving the whole damn thing. Absolutely beautiful IMO. The ONLY complaint is the vocals...I don't mind Imelda a whole lot I guess but, in all honestly, she doesn't really do it for me and I think she kind of ruined the overall vibe I'd be getting from the rest of the album.
Overall, a terrific effort.

really, the more I listen to this the more I realize it's pretty low grade shlock from someone as talented as Beck.
Edit: some of it.

I just met Tal Wilkenfeld, who played bass on this album as well as Herbie Hancock and Chick Corea stuff :] https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1106115582740692&l=aa76340ea9
