A good review. I did not listen to the stream; am wwaiting for my hard copy to come soon, but as a huge fan of The Ocean, I except I will at least like it, maybe only a little disappointed

Yeah it's definitely solid. The only tracks I can't stand are First Commandment and Ptolemy. The rest are either good or excellent.

I can't get over how cheesy Ptolemy is... gets a lol every time.

There is nothing solid about this but sure. It's watered down shit, like liquid diarrhea.

Good to see you still have a sense of humour hahahaha.

Wow they went from Precambrian to THIS? His vocals are worse than that fag from Avenged Sevenfold when they went to clean vocals. Just unlistenable. Musicianship took a huge nosedive as well. This shit is abominable.

Lol Metaphysics of a Hangman is far cheesier than Ptolemy. Just listen to those vocals.

At least Ptolemy sounds like it's intended to sound. Metaphysics sounds unbelievably more cheesy with those abysmal, bottom of the barrel vocals. I would have been ashamed to release such dreck, these dudes should be fucking embarrassed.

I loved Precambrian, this album just seemed to lack the atmosphere and sheer writing talent of the latter. I listened to the album through 1.5 times, half way through the second I had to turn it off and put on Precambrian.

Finally got my album. Only song I'm not too big on is Metaphysics. Catharsis is sick as fuck. They could've jammed that idea to about 6-7 minutes. The Origin suite is fucking awesome.

I could never get into this band and Heliocentric hasn't helped their case any. There are parts when I think these guys are decent, but those parts are barely there.

Upped this from a 1.5 to a 2.5

I figured I should just stop being butthurt that it's not Precambrian 2.0, and take it for what it is - painfully average. I still fucking hate Ptolemy, Metaphysics, Catharsis and Epiphany, but the other songs aren't as bad as they sounded the first 4 or 5 listens.
