SeaAnemone is a legend for reviewing this. I thought about reviewing it a few times. There is no way I'd get the same response.

Why doesn't this album get more love? It's like a mash-up of every genre ever. Epic song lengths, moments of great post-rock that blend into great screamo/post-hardcore, even into some pretty interesting drone/sludge. Singer has a really cool scream where he kind of accelerates his voice. Anyway, check it out, especially if you're into Envy and the likes.

Yeah this could definitely get more attention. I need to get off my ass and review The Fall of Boss Koala.

Cool album

I just wish it was as dynamic as it is textural and colorful.

Yea it does get slightly repetitive in mid-section - only downside. Love the semi-breakdown is 2nd to last track with the double bass, esp. since it's basically like only breakdown on album.

The repetition works for the atmosphere.

Yeah that bit is cool. They have a cool sound but it's pretty samey tbh.

I hope they don't go all radio friendly next album for more exposure. Any word on if they're writing etc?
|
| |
No idea. But it would be pretty surprising if they even approached radio-friendly.

Also, check out A Hope For Home's 'Realis' if you like this. Only downside to them is the somewhat emo clean vocalist (he's not that bad tbh, just kinda cliche). Screams are decent enough though. Some great riffs.
|
| |
I'll do that. Idk what you mean by "emo" cleans but I don't think it'll bother me. Unless they sound like Escape the Fate or something.

Tad whiny I guess, but it's not a bad voice. There are some huge riffs and they share a lot of the atmospheric tendencies with Rinoa. They lean toward Post-Hardcore structures though and the songs are slightly shorter and more predictably structured.
