well the point is that a lot of people focus on the backstory/history/'plotline' of the album (sad man makes sad album about cancer wah he sad) and that tends to overshadow it, and i think i'm just trying to direct attention away from that and say that the both the -type- of music (the ambient folk-esque thing i described) and the very great songwriting are just as important to the album's quality and also the success of that same plotline. the first paragraph was talking about the plot/backstory as everyone does, so the second is saying but hey there's music here too and it's damn good
