I dug Confessions and actually enjoyed Here I Stand quite a bit, "Appetite" is awesome.
But judging by his singles, this is going to be ehhhhhhhhh

"Mars vs. Venus" is gorgeous and a pretty decent song, especially coming from an artist like usher, who seems to lack depth and sincerity as an artist. "Okay" is also very addictive.

I think "Okay," "Mars vs. Venus," "Hey Daddy," "Lil Freak," "Pro-Lover," and his best song in years "There Goes My baby" are enough to pull the album up to a 3.5

There are definitely a several misses. But i find that there are more songs on this album that I DO like than I DON'T.

I think it's juvenile and sophomoric to simply say a whole genre of music sucks because you dislike a few artists within that genre. If you were a 13 year old middle school student, I would expect this from you. but not as an adult.

Lets get it together.

That's a poor generalized blanket statement. people who say that obviously aren't fans of the genre because they would know that there still many numerous quality r&b/soul artist making music today.
