"Launch the Polaris, the end doesn't scare us, when will this cease? the warheads will all rust in peace."

I've been digging that song way too much lately.

Hangar 18 is also a crazy ass solo battle to the death.

Holy Wars + Tornado Of Souls = Stronger then LSD.
Best Megadeth album.

Metallicaman has a good point. Dave Mustaine rules, dont get me wrong, but that is going a little far. You run the risk of being called a "fanboy" doing that. Just warning.

Holy wars is a great song. Megadeth is awesome. Mustaine can be a bit dickish sometimes but hes a good guitarist. his voice is kinda anoying tho. but ya get used to it.This Message Edited On 05.23.06

I only really like Holy Wars off this album, but Mustaine's voice just annoys the hell outta me it sounds like his voice is cracking sometimes. I'm sorry but you cant compare his voice to Brian Johnsons, BJ has a strong bluesy voice which ventures into metal, from Razors Edge it got quite gruff, but its still a great voice

i cant rate this one
its the first and sadly the last Megadeth ill buy, when i heard the opening to holy wars it almost knocked my head off, i thought to myself how the fuck could Metallica fire Mustaine, and then a cruel twisted noise entered my head..... he started singing

Yeah, Metallica may have made a mistake in firing Mustaine. Considering he wasn't the vocalist, Hetfield was. So they didn't have to put up with his wretched singing. But I like Hammet is a pretty sufficient replacement.

With no power to write! You look at Mustaine and what he did with Metallica he basically wrote half of ride the lightning and co-wrote kill em all

Meh, Hammet writes some pretty good solos. Atleast, I think he writes his solos. I'm not really sure. He doesn't contribute much otherwise. But that's okay James can handle it. Well he could up until Load. This Message Edited On 05.31.06

Sad but True was the only solo Hammet was allowed to write on the Black Album so i take that he didnt do much before that

Interesting. I think Hetfield is a pretty under-rated guitarist then. I assumed that Hammet wrote his own solos and hetfield just did the rythm. Apparently Hetfields a better guitarist than I though. Anywho, back to Hammet. It's difficult to say what his power is to write, considering he hasn't wrote much. But supposedly in their upcoming album Hammet is supposed to have taken on more writing responsibilities. We'll see how that turns out. This Message Edited On 05.31.06

I wasn't "bashing on them". And their mainly in my username because I love their earlier work. Just because their in my username doesn't mean I have to love everything they write. That would make me a biased fanboy.

Understandable. Just try and use more discretion in the future. No one really meant any real offence with their insults. We were just trying to teach you how things work on this site. As many of us were taught before you. It's not really a big deal.
