This is a great dvd, many people have already said the absence of future breed machine really hurts the tracklist....this is true. I would have liked to hear more songs off destroy erase improve but it's still an awesome live dvd.

"meshuggah is a band of consistency"

Yes, they consistently make the same song. Why do so many people like this band? Yes they use 8's and have fairly groovy riffs, but they play the same riffs for like 2 minutes straight and seldom use more than the 6th, 7th and 8th strings. The singer is the same overly aggressive yeller across all their albums. It's basically a band with 3 drummers. You all like this why? Cuz teh ates are sooo brootalz? Well I really don't think so. Then I see reviews for after the burial which is an uber melodic awesome meshuggah and people seriously under rate it. I don't understand this site...

This DVD is great, I think Electric Red might be the best performance on it, those flashing lights trip me out.

If you've heard the discography of the band you'd know their more than capable of playing the entire guitar.

You don't seem to understand Meshuggah at all, dude. This music is not Tech Deathcore like After The Burial: Their sound is deeper and more ambient. Listen to songs like Bleed, Future Breed Machine, New Millennium Cyanide Christ, and Rational Gaze. All these songs are extremely technical and amazing songs to listen to. Meshuggah is the band that inspired the countless rip off bands like After The Burial. Regardless, I like ATB, but they are greatly inspired by Meshuggah like many other Death Metal and Hardcore bands these days. Meshuggah are the godfather's of 8-string tech groove and you need to appreciate them for it, regardless.

Wizard: "I" is a 20 minute track. That, coupled with the information in Voivod's post, why would you ever expect them to play any of it live?

In the dvd they say they don't play dancers because of the spoken word vocals, they dont want to ruin it I guess?

I love the live album because it extends the ObZen sound to the older songs, where the production was a bit more questionable (stuff off of chaosphere, none ep). It just makes New Millenium Cyanide Christ sound even more beastly.

and, "I" is by far the best song they have released; and probably my favorite song ever.

nice review. i was amazed at how much they kicked ass on this dvd, great recording quality live too. What truly impressed me was that its not just a bunch of concert footage, theres "interviews" and little clips and facts about the band in there that are awesome for fans such as myself...

DVD is awesome. I'm confused by people constantly stating that one band has ripped another band off............... Does the first pizza shop to make a delicious cheese pizza reserve the right to be the only shop to EVER make a pizza with cheese?

This DVD is a little too ordinary for my liking...

Also, why is the Japanese audience so awkwardly quiet? Even Jens compares it to being as quiet as a church
