there you go
travis barker--uses same concept beat in almost every song (boom boom bop) or something very close but has fast fills and some unusual stuff which is good but does not compare with the greats
tre cool-all of his stuff sounds the same and fills are ALWAYS simple 16th note rolls.
|
| |
Maybe Tre Cool does have similar fills, but Travis Barker is one of the greatest drummers of modern music.

i'm not saying he's the GREATEST drummer, although he is D*mn amazing, but the BLED's drummer Mike Pedicone is probably my favorite drummer alongside Derek Grant (Face to Face, The Suicide Machines, and currently The Alkaline Trio).
the used is a good band overall, and very cool guys. i agree with whomever thinks they should make more cd's kinda like this one moreso than ILAD. thats just my opinion.

sorry.. i'm taking up two spaces.
BUT.. bert is bisexual, or so i hear. i know he kissed Gerard from MCR (fucking sellouts who suck live) and i've seen him make out with Quinn twice. There are rumors that Bert dated Gerard for a while too. Bert also has had girlfriends.. i think he might have one right now..
and for bert and drugs.. yes. he was a huge cocaine addict. but he supposedly went to rehab or some shit. and now he claims to not do them. i think he still does it every once in a while or something.. at least smokes, and obviously drinks.
and maybe that Kolzig33189 is a musician. he could have one of those baby toys where you pound it and it makes "drum noises".. but i wouldn't say he could play songs on it.. thats overestimating him. he could possibly write his "riffs" on it. haha
once again.. sorry for taking up two spaces.

I just can't stand the used. they bare such a terrible band when put up against the likes of the supreme screamo acts in the business such as Glassjaw, Poison The Well and others. And Bert McCracken is really REALLY annoying. Still, nice review.

I like this album a lot, but I like In Love and Death a lot more.

i dont like the used as much as i did. but this was their better album. im not one for all the kill yourself because the world is after you bullshit, but i like the melody and rhythm in the music. the only thing that pisses me off about the used now is the emo. i hate all the kids who think that cutting their wrist will make things better. they are really looking for attention and people to ask so whats that on your wrist. but about the album, it was good.
|
| |
This CD is decent from a crappy band. I must ask, why the heck is The Used under hardcore?
|
| |
Who put this band in hardcore?
plz die

soo is bert gay or bi or what? is all of them gay or what. i like the music, and
them being gay wont change my opinion, but sometimes his laugh, and the
way he sings, and i swear to god, cut up angels is about anal sex, i think he's
gay. whatever tho. i still like itThis Message Edited On 02.06.06

These guys are pretty good. This album was far better than the second, and I find this one gets a lot more play time than In Love and Death.
OH YEAH DRUMMERS MAKE RIFFS YEAH OF COURSE
Technically, it's true though. Drummers do make riffs.

I know that the drummer from Mastodon comes up with the riffs in their band. He hums ideas into a dictaphone or something and they expand upon those...read it in 'Total Guitar'. Oh yeah - I can't stand 'The Used'.

This album is not that bad actually, their later album is pretty bad though...
I rather listen to this album than Silverstein, Hawthorne Heights or stuff like that....
