aw guyz u went and made a joke without me on my own review....

fyi my teacher basically told me after my second draft that I have to tailor it to people with musical retardation, hence the oddball first sentence and over-elaborate descriptions.

Haha sry man...

Btw personally, I actually quite liked the bath analogy. I never really thought of the CD in that way and I think it's a pretty good way to describe it. I mean not every song on here really fits that whole "bath sensation" but the first song and definitely the slower stuff really does gives off that vibe. Also, the general interpretation, being that the music "soaks" into you so to speak, works pretty well. The album definitely has that inviting quality that beckons you forward with the first song and envelopes you for the rest. So yeah I see where you were going with that and I personally thought it was a good way to describe the album to people who haven't heard it (which is obviously what a review should strive to accomplish).

In a recent newsletter, Toby said maudlin will return in 2026 wooo

Also, not sure if this is Sputcore, i mean it has almost 8K ratings on RYM. Bath is pretty well known and revered at this point

I literally just jammed this for the first time this weekend. Weird timing on the feature. Way late to the party but I was completely blown away.

ThyCrossAwaits once said something to the effect of that if he could only listen to one album for the rest of his life, it'd probably be this one < 3

It really is a phenomenal record.

Such a strange record, I can see why you all like it so much.

Also found it very strange that the bass was only loud and warm a few tracks in. Was thinking I was listening to a remaster or something but it's just almost inaudible on the first track lol
