One of the best albums of the noughties. I wouldn't really call it depressing, I understand why some would though. Terminus is fucking epic.
I hope no one's been complaining about the review's length (sputnik style)... Good review.

Listening right now.
Minor typo with the acronym in the second paragraph. Should be LTIY instead of LITY.

edited some stuff
"I'd listen to this but I don't like any of the bands they are tagged as related to. So I think I'll pass this by."
don't do this
|
| |
Yeah especially when most of those related bands are great

But I ended up getting it from AWG. Didn't really like it. I'll probably give it another try and then fag up the thread with my low rating.
|
| |
maybe if you got it from a blog that doesn't suck it would sound better
|
| |
Ugh this is so good but it's still difficult to listen to / like. I feel guilty having it as a 4, I think I like the "idea" of it, just not listening to it.
aka I'm a poser.

Anybody else find the vocals a little weak? I'm going to keep bringing this up till somebody agrees

uh that's kind of the point
|
| |
Weak vocals are the albums underlying theme, interesting

if you'll allow me to quote myself:
In their past, Unwound would scream and shout to anybody that would listen: “HEY YOU GUYS REALIZE THIS ALL EQUATES TO NOTHING, RIGHT?” but on their final album, Leaves Turn Inside You they finally realized that nobody was listening, so vocalist Justin Trosper decided to moan and wail so dispassionately even Thom Yorke would be taken aback.

Hipster musicians are supposed to suck, get with the times you fucking Porchmonkey.
|
| |
Fair enough, but that only gets you so far, and a tension bursting scream or two would help to break up some of the monotony. Great, great album nonetheless. Radio Gra is awesome

idk i think the vocals on scarlette do a good job of breaking up the monotony
