Omegaman bangs.

"Better than Synchronicity"

Yeah I'd likely agree. I honestly think they've gotten progressively worse after Reggatta, though while always releasing good to great stuff.

I had a mental gap on the bands discography. I didn't remember how incredibly good are the first 3 tracks and how awful are the next 3 lol

Fortunately, from omegaman onwards it goes up a bit again. But seriously that middle section is painful.

Didn't know you were a fan of this one neek, is it your favorite Police album?

Did Synchronicity and this back to back; there are stand out tracks on each. Ghosts seems like it has more clunkers in total, but Synchroncity has “Mother”, which is atrocious. The back half of Synchronicity is flat out amazing as well as both title tracks. This one sags in the middle.

Hard to say which I prefer. I think the highs and lows on Synchronicity are way more pronounced.

Honestly both (good) albums have a lot less "Police magic" than what came before imo

Checking this before Zenyatta for the sheer fact that I like Spirits in the Material World and Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic more than Don't Stand So Close to Me and Doo Doo Doo Da Da Da even though it's the less acclaimed album

"Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic more than Don't Stand So Close to Me"

Always had trouble deciding which one of these two I liked more. The '86 version of DTSCTM is a fucking bop though.

That middle section... wtf it's so bland

This needs more listens, but I mostly liked the first 3 and the last 2

Gave it a 2nd listen and I don't see the hype abut Omegaman, but Hungry for You has grown

The first 3 and last 2 are still the best, bumped this to a 3.5

Also, no way this is anywhere near Synchronicity, I love that one, solid 4.5/5

Revisiting this after a while, I like it more than ever. Surely top 3 Police for me with Reggatta and Zenyatta!

Love the drumming in Omegaman and that synth guitar middle section

Demolition Man is so good too to just focus on and follow it

Lastly I definitely slept on One World for way too long, super catchy with that reggae flavour and Copeland's fills
