Gene makes me love Christploitation even more than I normally would. If this is just the beginning of his career with FF, I can't wait to see what is on the next record.

gene hoglan and byron are on this? need to check this out.
|

Byron's barely on this
|

I'm tempted to check this out, Hoglan is a beast.
Digimortal really turned me off this group though.

Nothing much like Digimortal. You should check it out.

Few songs I heard off were extremely bland.

Final Exit. Listen to that.

Really good review, Trey- I'm sold. You have a way of making me curious to download after reading your reviews, and I thoroughly enjoyed Manic Impressions, so I think I'll try this out and see how it is.
Also, lol at the final sentence

This definitely returns Fear Factory to being one of the heaviest bands of all time. The music, especially drums, all sound as if they were done by machines!

strapping young factory

The first release is simply a decent attempt
Archetype was very well done, more focus on atmosphere and less on the Dino impersonations, not to say they aren't there though. I fully agree with Transgression being a failure, a few good songs throughout the first half of the album I will admit.
Rhys Fulber (Front Line Assembly, Paradise Lost).
Paradise Lost? Really? I would never mention the two in the same sentence in a million years. Night and day I tell ya.
This is my first review in just about two months. It feels a bit rough... it was definitely rough to write.
Pulled it off in style and then some ; ). Really enjoyed the read. Funny how you said this is their best yet you have this rated the same as Obsolete? I don't think they can surpass that album but we will have to see.

Dude, you've already started on the industrial, look at your avatar! Has a huge industrial influence on it.

Holy crap, I didn't see this coming. Whole album is exceptional.
The opening track, Mechanize, is phenomenal. One of the best industrial metal tracks I've ever heard. Fear Campaign - wow! Love the thrash metal riffage, and as for the vocals - holy fuck! The change up at the start of the 2nd verse kills it ("It is the most strategic tool...."). And then Final Exit, what a way to close the album.
