The World Needs a Hero is worse. Risk was fun to listen to, but TWNAH was just meh.

The World Needs A Hero had a few good songs on it. Risk has only one or two decent songs.

nah Risk in my opinion is pretty good. so what they went mainstream. all that matters is that its good. in my opinion my least favorite megadeth album the system has failed.

TSHF was pretty good - about one third filler and the rest great.
TWNAH was the worst megadeth album IMO. they sort of went halfway back to their old sound, but the songwriting really suffered.

Seven was probably the weakest track. What about Enter The Arena?

Yeah, it's not really the same. Just a pointless intro to Crush 'Em.

agree with barfunk. This not a bad album it's just different. Music is not only about being heavy or aggressive. It's melody and vibe.

Wow, I just listened to this album for the first time in ages. I must say, it is a lot better then most people think. Breadline, I'll Be There, Crush 'Em etc are all great songs that I could see being on albums like Cryptic Writings easily.

what about prince of darkness?
|

Prince of Darkness could fit on Cryptic Writings as well, probably.

Totally, this album is up there with some of Bon Jovi's finest.
Just jokes...
But really this album is quite enjoyable to listen to as simply as rock album. Megadeth have plenty of real thrash albums under their belt, so it's refreshing that they at least tried to do something different rather than release the same style music over their career like some other metal bands. This Message Edited On 08.02.08
