Maybe I don't have a soul but I always disliked that song.

Same man. AK's vocals are kinda lame on that track.

Thanks for the load of comments and approval when I was gone.

Well done, bro. I really like how you seem to have done a lot of background research on the bands you cover. Pos.

Thanks. It's really my kind of thing, I tend to do that with all my reviews.

I disagree, but to each their own I guess.

It's the "Where I go I just don't know, I got to got to gotta take it slow.
When I find my piece of mind, I'm gonna give you some of my good time" that makes me cringe a tiny bit. I think the guitar work is really beautiful on it though.

I see what you mean with that part, but I can stand it just fine. Comments about BSSM songs in the BSSM review please though, haha.

at times, this is my favorite Chili Peppers record (usually that spot is reserved from BSSM though, and ocassionally Californication). Taste the Pain, Knock Me Down, Sexy Mexican Maid and Nobody Weird Like Me rock socks.

Also, Pretty Little Ditty made a group of guys called Crazy Town crazy-rich.

this record is just too overproduced and distorted. however i do enjoy many of the tracks, just wish they were stripped down.

the remaster i think

frusciante's guitar tone is awful on this

I would be cautious when it comes to judging music through remasters, many have fallen victim to the loudness wars and are effectively destroyed when listened to through equipment that isn't cheap ipod buds or a $100 walmart stereo.

I went out of my way to get an original pressing of this and it sounds fine, I wouldn't call it distorted by any means.

frusciante's guitar tone is awful on this

aww man, Good Time Boys has a fucking monstrous tone, that snaky riff in Higher Ground is great, and yeah... Pretty Little Ditty is just gorgeous.

at worst it is unremarkable to me, I think there are some highlights though

that's what I was going to say, the remaster of this is underwhelming at best. that's the copy I have on cd but I d/l the original and it's much better

although the remaster comes with the extended version of Sexy Mexican Maid which is cool

LOVE this album, and it's always fun to hear a raw frusciante.
