Listened to the first few tracks so far, this is something special that is for sure. I am loving it so far, and great review man.

the best is when they do male female harmonies because all the girls sing so well and gareth really struggles to hold a note

dont think the odds are stacked in your favour if you dislike their 2nd 2008 release, really. but opinion seems to differ amongst most.

i don't think it's likely this will do anything for you if you've turned off their other albums

listen to either of the singles and if you don't like what you're hearing, abandon ship

i'd suggest "in medias res" personally. i'm kinda worried i won't have fallen in love with this album by the time their live show comes around. took me a good while with their others.

I think you should get this lewis, as i stated a page back i think everything else los campesinos have done is rubbish, but this is incredibly good.

yeah, just pick it up Lewis, you may enjoy them again. If you found anything to love in the first 2 there very well may be something for you here.

Man, I heard this today and I was really disappointed. I thought We Are Beautiful really rocked, but I'm just not feeling this. Prolly should listen to it more before giving it too much dirt though.

I am not digging that album cover, but a bunch of my friends are into this so I'll check it out in the near future.

oh hell yeah, it was very well written. honestly prob the best professional one I've read on it, imo.

I just get annoyed that they don't hand out the stamp to them, except for their EP, even though they routinely praise their albums (consistent 8+). Pet peeve basically, cause it translates into albums sales, at least over here in the States.

But also, at this point, I think people just half-expect their LPs to be really good regardless -- so there's that too.
