As huge fan of stoner metal/rock, doom, and 70s vintage doom rock for many many years. I can't believe I didn't give this album the proper listen that it deserved. I think I have been on such a death/black metal kick as of late, I lost touch with my roots. This is definitely going on as a 4, but 3 or 4 more listens, I see a 4.5 at least.

Short answer: they're great. I was six feet from Scott Kelly, which was awesome, and it was pretty hypnotic to watch them all play; what with their being legends and all. Openers were Salome and Wolves in the Throne Room, but Shrinebuilder definitely owned it. The sound and lighting were a bit iffy, but maybe NYU isn't used to the FURY coming through their mixing boards.

Glad you got that close to Scott Kelly, he is one of the greatest musicians still kicking around in metal today. And Wolves in the Throne Room? So jealous now!
