well sonic you might like this too, its not exactly on the same vein, its kinda heavier, but pretty good too
in fact, even if on the cover is ace, vinnie vincent plays guitar here (emulating ace's style) cause had a tough car crash at the time of recording
then vinnie would replace him for lick it up

You said it titan, attempt, just like Elder was their attempt at prog, but in the end of the day it is still pop rock that tried to be heavy but stayed as pop rock, at least for me. This is still an excellent album, one of the very few by them that I actually enjoy

KISS basically tried to be a heavy metal band all the way from Creatures Of The Night to Asylum. Nice to see a mention of Psycho Circus, underrated album and better than over half of the band's discography.
