By randomness and intensity, you're saying that the old Loma Prieta was great, which is almost unaminously decreed not so. By that standard, Orchid would be a far superior choice than Six. Especially because Six on its own is less crazy than CTTS's entire discography.

Anything off of Killie's discography is the hallmark of a good screamo song. Anything off of In/Humanity's discography is the hallmark of a good screamo song. Anything that combines chaos and beauty has the ability to be the hallmark of a good screamo song. There is no chaos on Six, and there is rarely any beauty besides LTJBI.

@Pirate Squid: You are obviously a complete ignoramus to the genres that are emo and screamo. Riteds Of Spring started emo and though I Hate Myself and other bands experimented with a more aggressive offshoot, Orchid is oftentimes given the credit of "founding screamo" because that's when the term originated. Saetia came after Orchid, and thus after those other bands that experimented with emo. Saetia is not overrated by any means, as the band accumulates as much hate as it does praise. I believe that they are one of the best screamo bands ever, and have been told otherwise as many times as I have said it. And calling saetia dumb? At least call a band like IHM dumb, they warrant that tag.

lolololololololololol.

I love seeing you guys getting all upset for totally insignificant things : D

I was talking about how Saetia started the screamo revolution, and how most of today's screamo bands seem to take most of their inspiration from either Saetia, or bands predominantly inspired by Saetia.

And I honestly never met many people that actually hated them. Most people I know are madly in love with them, or are just kinda 'eh' towards the band.

I don't actually think any of these bands are dumb, simply overrated :x

Saetia is deeply passionate music that is as intense as it is introspective, accesible, and enthralling.

But Hot Cross accomplishes being better at all those things, except in their later stuff, where they should've stuck with their demo work of Risk Revival :x

It was good as a foundation for the genre, but by itself, without context of time, it's just meh to me. With the passion and angst to make you cry in few parts, but with the tediousness to make you cry in most.

How is Saetia tedious? Have you heard Sweetness and Tthe Light? Those tracks we mentioned earlier? Some Natures Catch No Plagues, Venus and Bacchus, SatL, NLnT, Closed Hands, Roquentin, The Poet You Never Were, and One Dying Wish are not tedious. This album right here is tedious. So is their former work. Hot Cross is tedious, especially Risk Revival. Hot Cross is better than HC as well, and so everyhting you say to me is worthless.

/elitistness
