From what I hear, I think Eidolon is still better. But as this is a prog rock album, i'm gonna let it grow on me.

Yeah this is definitely a grower. But Eidolon is better anyway.

Diamond Eyes has grown on me a load recently, in retrospect its probably deserving of a place on the recommended tracks but oh well.

I couldn't stand Diamond Eyes at first but it did grow on me. The end is excellent.

I think Weevil Bride might be my favorite now, but River of Glass and the title track are up there.

nice solo on weevil bride.

i feel that the cleaner production on the vocals made it seem less passionate. like vocals better on eidolen.

Weevil Bride sounds like something Mars Volta would do.

It lacks the "punch" for lack of a better word that Eidolon had. That said each band member did improve on this record and there are some excellent songs.

Listened this today and I actually enjoyed all of the songs more than I remembered. Downhill clicked with me as one of the better songs for the first time. Maybe i'll raise my rating...

Eidolon is still better. Terras Fames pales in comparison to these two but I only just got it.

No way, Terras is probably my fav when it comes to replayability. That's probably just me though.

They all bring something different to the table, Harlequin will never be beaten as their best song. Give it time.

Maybe it's because everyone seems to say Harlequin is so great and I went in with high expectations, but it really didn't do much for me. I'd say their best song is Alchemy Alice.

Yeah funny you say that, That's like my second fav. Love the ending. I'm listening to this album now and I think it's the main reason I don't like this as much is the same reason why you don't like Harlequin. The expectations I had for this album were way too demanding, and it's still a great cd.

Idk if it's because I listened to RATM before this but at like 3:20 in Weevil Bride the riffing sounds like it may be influenced by them a bit.

This was 3.5ish at first for me but I ended up listening to this a shit ton more than Eidolon (probably around 15 listens in 2-3 weeks) and this has grown on me considerably. It all starts to fall into place, where Eidolon grabbed me from the beginning.

I'm hoping Terras Frames is the same but i've only listened twice.
