There's just something infectious about this album. It's like the perfect transition album bridging the hard rock elements of Draconian Times with the poppier Host.

Not really a huge fan of this tbh. Love the band though

This one, along with Host, has been a grower for me. Didn't resonate so well when it was released even though I tried to like it. Also, very interesting couple of years back at the end of the '90s with shifts in the sound of these guys, Theatre of Tragedy, My Dying Bride and The Gathering.

This is soon getting a reissue and remaster by Jamie Gomez who worked on Plague and now on Medusa (although it sounds just fine the way it is).

They've now announced a remaster for Host, which still has no review.

they also confirmed that a total from-scratch remix and remaster of Believe in Nothing is on the way a few months ago and even released a track from it (the redone "Sell It to the World") on a magazine sampler. i'm way more excited for that tbh.

The 3rd and the Mortal shifted in style too.

@Hellscythe

Indeed, me too. I think I shared that song in a thread somewhere.

I'll say it here because Host doesn't have a review, In All Honesty is a great song

Never really payed much attention to it before, but "Albino Flogged In Black" is rapey as fuck. I know it's not actually their song, but still.

this almost feels like a refined but also cheesier version of draconian times

another day sounds like a proper alice in chains song but its not bad by any means

This albums alternates way too much between pretty sweet and downright garbage damn.
