This album is absolutely incredible. Yet again, the Lips have managed to destroy any preconceptions anyone had about them and reinvented themselves in the process. Amazing stuff.

Album rocks in such an unexpected way. Evil is so good, kind of, sort of, reminds me of Do You Realize?
Fantastic review.

I don't even know what to say. The best listen I've had to an album in a long time. I went through this two times last night, and was literally baffled at how diverse, ridiculous and just how much of a mindfuck this album is. AOTY is definitely a possibility, and I may just have a new favorite Lips album too..

I know! I just noticed that too! It's has to be joke, this album is absolutely magnificent. And actually quite scary in places, See the Leaves is so dark!
Also, don't know if anyone has noticed this, but since The Soft Bulletin you always get at least one song where you can hear someone's watch go off halfway...is it a subliminal message suggesting that mankind counting down to something AND WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE?! Or maybe not.

that all it takes to be a staff member on this site?

I disagree, I may be alone on this, but I haven't had this accomplished of a listen from beginning to end in an album since my first time hearing "The Wall" back in 8th grade. I was forced to sit in silence once the album finished, and the best part was I'm not even that big of a Lips fan, so my expectations were neutral, can't wait to listen to this again

album art is trippy

Personally, Clouds Taste Metallic will probably always be my fave Lips album. This album is cool, but it doesn't have a knockout track like Evil Will Prevail or Do You Realize
|
| |
okay this is so good ****
