Nope, although not exactly for that reason. I was going to go through their discography on the weekend, but chose Fightstar's instead. So expect some sound-offs for Fightstar soon. Maybe next week for Emery.

On 2nd LP 'Head of the Hawk', Sydney quintet Bluejuice steer away from the corny hip-hop of their debut and concentrate on crafting catchy, keys-heavy & 80's influenced pop-rock. It seems an extremely wise idea on this album's surprisingly strong 1st half with a number of infectious cuts that are sure to get stuck in your head. Unfortunately, it all falls apart due to a succession of silly, shallow & repetitive tracks that make the 2nd half downright grating. Sure, it's rather fun & good background party music, but at barely 30 minutes long there is way too much filler here. Recommended Tracks: Broken Leg, Head of the Hawk & Little Emperor.

Well you would have had to love them live since unfortunately they brought in the new year at Pyramid at 6:30 pm, since the motherf'n storm blew electronics out on the main stage after their set. Leaving us with headline acts, The Butterfly Effect, Grinspoon, Empire of the Sun and Van She not even playing one song. Sucked balls, though I was drunk and had fun in the dance tent, no idea who play! lol.

Davey's just jealous of Bluejuice's skipping skills.
That sucks majorly, Dougie!

Though Billy, Dead Letter Circus fucking owned, best pit I have ever been in! And there set was phenomenal. But still, annoyed.

Yeah, i'm pumped to see Bluejuice at BDO, should be heaps cool.
Awesome. Seeing DLC and Jericco in a bit over a month, should be awesome. Yeah, i would have been ready to kill if i had spent $250 and TBE didn't play..

Calling All Cars were a great surprise, went in half hopeful and they seriously blew the hang over away from the previous night, fantastic live band.

Yeah, their new songs rule (Especially Hold, Hold, Fire). I saw them with Mammal earlier in the year and they were awesome. They're playing Melbourne BDO as well, which should be sweet.

Ouch, that is really bad luck indeed. Pyramid had a fair bit of bad luck this year with Biffy pulling out & now this.
Great to see you're seeing the glass as half full Dougie. You're a trooper.
