Well, it's official; 'Sexy Bitch' is now #1 on the Australian singles charts. It's also #2 on the U.K charts.



In better news, the Short Stack album dropped from #1 to #13, the 3rd biggest drop from #1 ever in Oz!

Still not a big enough drop. Short Stack don't even warrant an album, let alone achieving a number 1, and to think, people at my school actually like this crap.

Welcome to the site nator. I'm certain house music was doing just fine without Guetta. But one should never under-estimate the ability of someone to crossover more into the mainstream and win new fans... A lot of new fans.

And yeah, I know the U.K charts mean jack. Just thought I'd throw it in since Guetta's first couple of singles from this album have done remarkably well for a crossover release.

Also I retracted that bold statement about one review a week. It may still happen but I'm having trouble with the review I'm writing now and missed last week but I might be willing to double up sometime to make up for that.

On a non-related note would you mind recommending me some of 2009's best? I'm trying to catch up on music from this year so my end of year list isn't so sucky this time around. I did have a read of your list. I started to type actually asking you about a couple of albums on your list... Then I stopped, thinking I might be annoying. The truth is that I have probably heard less '09 albums than you have thus far. However, I will still post something in your list soon.

I know I'm a let down and trust me I disappoint myself more than anyone else, especially as I realistically think if I do start reviewing I could shoot for contributor in Nov/Dec promotions. Still we'll see...

Haha and the only way you could annoy me is by beating me at fantasy football (which you are grr). Seriously ask away, and recommend while your at it.

Yeah, if you can get some consistency, your writing quality is definitely good enough to at least be a contributing reviewer. But, life comes first.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'd actually been recommended that Emery album from a freind a few days ago so I'll definately look into that; the same goes for the blackout and manchester orchestra. As far as the others go I'll definately keep them in mind but I cant say if/when I'll get around to hearing them, I'll tell you what I think when I do.

As for the albums that you might be interested in I think it is almost certain that you would like Florence and the machine and The Japandroids. I'd also highly recommend the mewithoutYou album and Merriweather Post Pavilion, they're both pretty much consistently great once you get used to the somewhat weird styles of the bands. I told you already that Hymn to the immortal wind would be a great place to start in terms of post rock, and given my rating for it it goes without saying that I give it the highest possible recommendation. As far as Crack The Skye goes, I honestly have no idea how much you'd like/dislike that.

"just used my wildcard". Are you freakin' kidding me? Have you ever played fantasy league before? Rule #1: Never use your wild card before the new year... NEVER! The FA Cup and/or Champions League will kill you later on!

whoops, oh well, sue me. I've never played a fantasy league where I've had the option of a wildcard so I guess the option just tempted me. I did make about 8 changes so it was worth it in all honesty.
