No, but you specifically said "No one must ever see"

Y'all need to give this album more listens.

I'm not a Thrice fanboy by any stretch. That's not to say I don't enjoy their back catalogue, but I don't jizz all over Vheissu like most people do, etc. However, it's probably true that I span this more just by default than I would any normal new record, and those extra spins have almost certainly bumped the rating from its original standing of probably a low4/high3.5.

So yeah the whole them-being-Thrice thing has mattered, but if you think this album is underwhelming it's likely you need to give it more time or stop expecting Vheissu v.2. Granted, the music's different, but most people on this website are musically appreciative enough not to be instantly turned off by the lack of heavy moments if they try. Ain't a bad song here.

Awesome review, listening to this right now. Loving it so far, will have to decide on a rating later.

This is probably my least favourite Thrice record on first few listens but that's still 3.5ish. Might go up though, I might be misjudging, who knows.

This definitely isn't classic, but it's a pretty cool listen. I gave it 3.5 on first listen, it grew into a 4. I can't see it being higher but it's interesting so I can listen to it at least a few times and groove to it.

Doublespeak, I think, is one of my favorites

Although I find myself in disagreement with quite a lot of things you've said I think your review is really good. It reads well and your choice of words is great, people will know what to expect, whether they can find themselves in your value judgements afterwards or not.

lol

Im thinking you mean not as epic as their previous releases. I found this to be a very nice change-up. A simple relaxing yet upbeat album that showcases Dustin's vocal/lyrical ability.
