if i'm gonna be honest, this review isn't very good, especially considering you have a 'position' on this site. still gonna avoid this anyway.

another Sunn 0))) song is a guy trapped inside a coffin delivering his lyrics from there.
i'm definitely not a fan.
hahahahahahahaha I see, I definitely see
Thanks metalstyles
NO problem, I only speak the truth haha. Btw, I made an Apartment 26 review sometime while you were away, you could actually enjoy that band as it is not metal haha. industrial rock to be precise

couldn't be more wrong

Thanks for the reco Rudy. Like I said, I was interested last time he was here, but it was a small venue & tickets went in a flash. He then did some kind of street festival & there were all kinds of security concerns & people got injured. The show may have even been stopped short.
I'm always up for feedback djdorama, but it has to be remotely specific. My only defence is that this is my first review of an album I have rated a 1. It's difficult not to let the feeling of disgust shine through at times.
I'll search for that review metalstyles. Although industrial isn't exactly my thing either unfortunately.

pfffffff you are so complicated Davey hahaha. The only thing besides Apartment 26 that I have reviewed and could rec you is Nonpoint and guess what, I have already done that. and seriously the review is great, dunno what djdorama is talking about

a lot of the qualms i have are nitpicky stuff. it is in no way a bad review. An example would be the '(at least at the forefront)' in one sentence. it makes sense, yes, but it's a little, if you will, cumbersome, and not really necessary. another is '(both literally and figuratively)'. another somewhat unnecessary addition, and 'figuratively' doesn't make sense to me there. some things are just awkward: the first sentence of the fifth paragraph read a little weirdly to me. i'd also say 'normalcy' might be a slightly better word choice, but that's not that important. (also, the following sentence in that paragraph should probably be part of the first) another awkward thing is 'even those LPs heavily criticized by most', which obviously makes sense, but could be reworded. 'resulting in this abhoration totaling 40 minutes all up!' is also awkward, and the word is spelled 'aberration'. the second sentence of the sixth paragraph is also awkward. for the most part it's a good and clever review, but it's not too indepth and a little ranty.
i'm not trying to bring you down or anything, just statin ma thoughts. it just read as a little awkward and unprofessional as me.
another small thing is that you forgot the apostrophe in 'Let's' on that one track title.

but yeah i can see how if this is the first album you've 'really hated' then yeah a lot of this is extremely excusable.

Mr. Estonia, just change your name to popstyles will you? ;-)
Excellent nitpicks djdorama. Why? Because almost every point you made I did mull over. Not that it's an excuse but this was the first review I had written in 7 weeks so I was a bit out of practice.
But yeah, most of your points, I did try to change & came up blank. Especially the "even those LPs heavily criticized by most" line. I knew that was awkward and tried different ordering of words.
The reason I put "(at the forefront)" was because I was certain that some wise-a$$ would have said the new albums did contain glitch but they are better covered up or more subtle.
I always thought abhoration (as in from the word 'abhor') was a word separate from aberration. But I may be wrong on that by the look of it.
As for using the word figuratively, it was trying to be a little clever. As in the album is one of glitch music, but I thought the album was a glitch in itself.
Good stuff.

Start reviewing poppier albums and I will read... & go to sleep.
|

Well that probably will never happen Davey, me and pop just don't go together. And does that mean you will not read my reviews anymore? If so then yes I will go to bed and drop a tear or two. No but seriously you don't read my reviews anymore? I am so disappointed. OH and I can't go to bed, I am talking with my ex-classmate through msn, and I don't want to stop atm

Ok, I think you would have cried enough by now...
Of course I'll still read your reviews Mr.Estonia. It's just that I probably won't go back & read the ones you wrote while I was away.

I still haven't written a 1 review, Go:Audio is the closest I've gotten and I even managed to find something redeeming in that pile of horseshit. Maybe I'll have a listen to the new Jonas Brothers album.

even that might not be a 1
iirc jonas brothers suck but not like
despicably so

It's definitely a tricky type of review to write because you have to justify such a low rating... & at the same time try not to get too ranty.

I don't mind me some Glitch-Hop. Listen to eDIT ,he's pretty good Davey.

Actually Marko, I'm semi-interested to know what you think of this shambles.
And I think this review answers whether or not I will be delving further into the genre.
|

This isn't the diamond in the rough? Gem in the gelatinous gas, sparkling sapphire in the smoldering smog?
Or is it just a terrible genre all together? Oh yes, it's glitch. Nevermind.
