Yeah, I've changed my mind, this one is pretty bad. I thought they'd changed things up a bit, but after going back and listening to their old stuff I've realised they haven't. Somehow, they've made their old sound not gel...with itself.

all this album does is make me really miss Alive Or Just Breathing.

The thing AOJB and TEOH had that made them special was their unprecedented ability to come from heavy and ambient to
melodic and beautiful on a dime and then fill in everything in between perfectly. As Daylight Dies was still a great album, the
songwriting was still excellent but it saw them leaning more toward being upbeat and melodic even through the verses. This
album is a sack of shit for Killswitch. Every song is just a build up to the chorus, which is just a demonstration of ranges with no
soul. "Starting Over" is catchy but bland, and the best song on the damn album is the bonus track. I just hope they catch
themselves like Megadeth and fire this new producer so they can get back to doing what they do.

Much to my dismay, I really (really) dislike this album. It is absolute crap compared to their older material. KsE is/was one of my favorite bands, but this attempt at an album reminds me more of breaking benjamin then it does of a metal album (let alone a kse album)

What the hell happened with this album. I couldnt believe how much all of the choruses sounded alike. Its like they made this album in a month. I thought the two singles and "lost" were good, but sure as hell not anything im going to crave to listen to. Such a disappointment, i actually looked at my radio display with a confused look and shook my head while listening to this.

Oh ya for sure lol....not saying i think they are the best either. But Atreyu is appalling in my opinion... but that is just my opinion, so whatever.

I heard some of the recording and thought the riffs sounded cool, but now Ive heard the album I dont think it will ever be played again. Its already a beer coaster.

Wow, this sucked. If you look up mediocre in the dictionary you'd find a pciture of this band/album. Don't get me wrong, I loved AOJB and TEOH but yeah, those days are gone. Also, I think they should drop these lovey dovey lyrical themes almost entirely, it's getting boring.

this was a massive let down, usually songs stand out from KSE albums but this is different, its all bland... like someone cooked you a meal but forgot to add some salt... just... bland... great band though, one of the best singers out there too.

Agreed. i'd personally like them to incorporate more of blood has been shed's style into the band. then maybe howard wouldn't feel compelled as he does to force the style he's doing.
