The breakdowns on the album are great. Keep in mind that they have to try something new to give themselves a little bit of originality... They are pretty talented for their age...they are all 18-19 years old. The riffs are catchy at times. I understand the samey feel some of you guys have mentioned. Idk, this was my first metalcore album in a good 5 months, and it hit me hard so i'm digging it right now, well see if it last. Fun band live btw.

the only reason I give this a 3 and not a 1.5 is because this band does metalcore waaaaay better than most of the generic bands. So as far within their genre, they may sound like most of the other crap, but the crappiness is left at the door, at least these guys can keep in time, which unfortunately can't be said of all these kinds of bands, and they sound like they might actually be able to claw their way out of the "scene."



Doubtful being their name screams metalcore/screamo, but here's to hoping!

Well after hearing what everyone else said, I agree, to a point. They have potenial, but it's not perfect. And they are better than most Metalcore bands, but I don't think they are better than The Devil Wears Prada. However, Miss May I is sure to put on a great live performance. They are simply amazing live. One of the best bands I have seen live. They have a lot of room to improve as far as the CD goes. But I don't think their live performance could get any better.

So if this is a 4.5, and The Devil Wears Prada are better....

if you guys want to hear a much better version of miss may i, check out at the throne of judgment. they broke up a few years back but were the original melodic deathcore band rise records signed that were much more mature and musically talented IMO

Yeah, while Miss May I is by no means good, they show some serious potential. I don't know what label
they're on, but judging by the cover art, its either Victory or Rise. If they break away from that
shit and go to a label that knows how to produce a good album, then they could be as good as ABR or
Mis Sigs. And for the record, TDWP will always suck. At least until Mike Hranica is out of the
picture..

The newest TDWP is pretty cool. The cleans are good whoever sings them in the band but screaming definitely sucks. As for this band, fun driving music.
