Fantastic album, MM's really back.

Devour, Pretty As A Swatstika, Leave A Scar, Four Rusted Horses, Arma-Goddamn-Motherfuckin-Geddon, Unkillable Monster, we're From America, I Have to Look Up Just to See Hell and Into the Fire are killers.

AS sucks (except for a few song such as The reflecting god, beautiful people, tourniquet, cryptorchid) IMO (but it's just my tastes).

Mechanical Animals and HW are great (HW is a bit too long but has great tracks too).

"And sure, they’ve never been well known for excellent lyrics, but try some of these works of Livejournal genius on for size. “It’s not like I made myself a list of new and different ways to murder your heart” (“Leave a Scar”). “We’re running to the edge of the world, but I don’t know if the world will end today” (“Running to the Edge of the World”). And, finally, the crème-de-la-crème: “First you try to *** it, then you try to eat it/If it hasn’t learned your name, you better kill it before they see it” (“Arma-Goddamn-Mother***ing-Geddon”, easily the worst name for anything ever). "

Yes you're right lyrics are funny and they fit the music, which is the most important.

Great review, strongly disagree on the rating though.
