Barring that, the review still got the point across so its a great success.

So...I just found out that Joey Sturgis produced this. Doesn't really sound like him, at least based off his recent work.

I do agree with the comment on Joey Sturgis' effects he uses. Sometimes I feel it is overdone, so great assessment. At times, however, I do enjoy a sort of over polished sound with some of the bands he produces. I really dig the Miss May I album and this STS album is awesome.

Yea, sometimes he does do things pretty well. The problem is when he starts to make everything sound the same and makes stuff sound too "perfect." Stuff like We Came as Romans just lacks any individuality, which is something that should be a big part of any band.

Yeah that's a good comparison. I've only heard a couple songs on WCAR but it did sound kind of mundane. Anyword on STS's new album for a release date?

Also...WhereIsMyMind and shortone323...I'm torn between buying one of these three albums. I'm asking your opinions since I only have cash for 1 right now: Memphis May Fire, Sleepwalking; Burden of a Day, Oneonethousand; or Oceana, Birtheater.

It's supposed to be early this year, so I'm guessing like March or something. Out of those i'd say burden of a day but I'm really not into any of them. Remember is a sick song though.

This has got to be one of my all time favorite Christian metal albums. IMO Settle The Sky shows just how repetitive and lacking TDWP really is. I'm so sick of all this repetitive metalcore that has no originality. Settle The Sky really hit the rare mark I was looking for.

Fair enough then. So anyway it seems Dan Gardener left the band for a second time. The album probably won't come out for a while now.

Yeah they broke up a little while ago. They released a few songs on their myspace that you should check out if you're a fan of this album. Those new songs are really good and it's a shame they didn't end up making another album.
