I just listened to this and it was kind of a chore to get through. So many of the tracks were

derivative.

"Alone" and "Gettin' Rough" were standouts though. Hopefully further listens will make this

better, but as of now it's the worst Dino Jr. album I've ever heard by far... (I've heard all of

their 80s and 90s albums)

Barely anything stood out though. It was like listening to outtakes from Where You Been and

Without a Sound, which are only like 3's anyway... Plus those high pitched vocals were

kind of annoying.

Well, so far I've only heard it once, I'll relisten to it tomorrow.

Can you explain why you think it's better? Because just telling me that a bunch of times is kind

of pointless since I disagree. Most of it was really boring and repetitive and Mascis overused

these high pitched vocals that kind of sucked to begin with. They were charming on "Not the

Same" from Where You Been because it was the only song like that on there making it stand

out, but here's it's on like half of the songs. Plus the riffs were so forgettable.

The bonus tracks were more interesting than most of the actual album, which made it seem

even worse...

but like I said, "Alone" and "Gettin' Rough" were great...

This album doesn't have Murph or Low Barlow replacement Mike Johnson on it...

It's basically a Mascis solo album :|

Never tried them, but if they're like this, I'll pass.

Then again I only listened to this once, so maybe I'll come around. I can't see this being more than a 3 though...

It took 3 listens, but I can now say that this is the best 90s Dinosaur Jr. album other than Green Mind. Was a grower for sure though.
