holy FUCK. this is ridiculous. i absolutely see the bless the martyr comp. it's like norma jean heard this and did their own thing. vocals are great very much like scogin but less unhinged, has that same echo. lyrical repetition too adds to it. definitely has that live production feel but can't find anything on it. either way exactly like i like my core, filthy, grimy and raw as hell. there are some meaty ass riffs here that border on deathcore along with the low growls. plus the breakdowns go insane. also that era just loved throwing in panic chords and i'm all for it.
instant classic for me i think.

Fuck yes Futures, this record needs so much more love round here. I would say this is a game changer for the core genre as a whole in the same way as Opposite of December is

for sure i see that. definitely see the through line to a lot of dissonant core after this. plus it has those moshy riffs and that kinda just fun aspect. got those emo-y twinged clean backing parts too. tons of stuff that feel like this is the earliest it was done. i usually prefer core that doesn't take itself so seriously tbh.
also wow the closer is crazy.

Insane record Futures glad you enjoy. These guys were ahead of their time. Even with their scene visual aesthetic. Dudes worked at banana republic and cut hair for a living so they’re credited with starting the fashion trends that would come along with this kind of music

Agreed with onion. Vanity is sick and yesterday is time killed is also insane too. Probably some of the earliest metalcore out that leans into straight up deathcore

bach speaking of that you gotta hear embodyment- embrace the eternal m/
i always sell it as zao meets suffocation. you'd love it. that early core scene was just wild times. every combination of stuff just throw together and see what stuck.
