I love AC/DC. I'm not 14, I'm not some HEAVY METAL FOREVER whore that sits in his basement learning Metallica riffs on his Sears guitar all day, but I love AC/DC. For an album to be a classic, I think it has to be the best of what it is. And the songs, oh, THE SONGS, have to be incredible.
And for a hard rock album full of riffs and fun, you can't do much better than this. I prefer some older AC/DC, but I'm not going to suddenly hate this album just because I'm older and I like a ton of different genres. I totally get why people hate it, I'm just not one of them.

It's odd...this is a massively-selling album, apparently people like it judging by the average rating it's got, and yet whether in real life or on the forums I can't think of one person who actually really likes AC/DC. Strange.
Plenty of people on the forums like AC/DC, and maybe you don't know very many people because I find that alot of people enjoy AC/DC songs no matter what there into. AC/DC's songs are very accesible to the public because of their catchy songwriting.
I know kids who like them. They're retarded metalheads.
Your just as bad as Shoot2Thrill. And AC/DC are considered a rock n' roll band, not a metal band. I'll point to some songs to prove my point "Rock N' Roll Singer," "It's A Long Way To The Top (If You Want To Rock N' Roll), "For Those About To Rock," "Let There Be Rock," Rock N' Roll Damnation." Im getting tired of this...but I think you get the point.

Are you kidding? In my highschool, there are so many AC/DC shirts going around, sometimes I wonder if they're wearing them to be cool, or if they actually like the band.
AC/DC is awesome! One of my favorite bands & I'm dying to see them again. I met Angus & the boys in 2001! Man are they awesome with their fans. C'mon AC/DC, two of my friends just discovered how awesome you guys are, lets have another world tour soon!

You're right. My mistake. Why wouldn't AC/DC care what a bunch of amateur reviewers thought about them? This Message Edited On 06.03.06

I'd read amateur reviews if I was in a famous band...
| | | If AC/DC are so bad how have they been going for 30 god damn years? Oh and P.S.
This album went Double Diamond

I know it's been said before, but I have such a hard time taking this feisty little fella seriously.

Look at you music n00bs...you obviously don't know a rock masterpiece when you hear it. Every song on this album rocks. How can you not see it? Just ignore all the hype you get from eveyone else. People get too caught up with all the hype they hear from everyone so that when new listeners actually hear the album, they might be let down b/c it didn't BLAST their mind away! Who cares? Blast it, enjoy it. Good rock music. The band has said themselves, they're a "simple rock band. Nothing more or less." Though people hate when other people say it, statistics say SOMETHING...not a lot, but a little. And whether you admit it or not, not a lot of bands have anything on AC/DC, especially punk/pop/emo/indies rock (kind of music which is dying anyway and won't be around for much longer). I used to like that kind of music when I was like what...12? AC/DC is, as a matter of fact, pretty damn CLOSE actually to being one of the greatest bands of all time. Even though you don't like them, saying that they don't even come close, is most certainly not true. This Message Edited On 02.03.07

You're pretty much as noobie as it gets.
you obviously don't know a rock masterpiece when you hear it.
Maybe you don't know shit when you hear it. Ever think of that?
And whether you admit it or not, not a lot of bands have anything on AC/DC
This can be said about a lot of bands and is soley based on opinion.
especially punk/pop/emo/indies
Pop isn't dying at all. I really don't know enough about the state of the other genres to say whether they are or not.
I used to like that kind of music when I was like what...12?
Funny, I can say that about AC/DC
AC/DC is, as a matter of fact, pretty damn CLOSE actually to being one of the greatest bands of all time.
This is an opinion but I'd say based on song writing skills they're nowhere near such a feat.
Even though you don't like them, saying that they don't even come close, is most certainly not true.
Just because you're an AC/DC fanboy doesn't mean they're close to being one of the best bands of all time. I'm a huge Nirvana fanboy but at least I can admit that Kurt wasn't an amazing guitarist or vocalist. This Message Edited On 02.03.07
