When this album first came out, for some reason I hated it before I listened to it...don't ask why. But then I got a copy, then about half a year after it got released I 'listened' to it. But I did not at all listen to it as an APC album. Because it's not. It's a cover album. Nothing more, nothing less.
It had nothing to do with APC making a record, or developing theirselves musically. Maynard just wanted to send a message to the listener.Oh and btw, I dislike Passive, and like the rest.

God knows I love Maynard James Keenan's other band, Tool. But dude... WHAT THE F**K!?!?!? This is the biggest piece of s**t that I have ever had the unpleasant experience of getting wedged in my ear. How do you rate things 0?

Well, i though it was an OK CD after listening to it a few times, i think it is important to understand that this was more of a statement than an genuine attempt at insightful music. I also think releasing it on election day wasn't a contradiction, it was perfect timing.

This was a very dissapointing album. Freedom of Choice is a decent song also. But, Passive is by far the only good song off the album.

i'm sorry but i COMPLETELY disagree. well written review, but putting together a cover album where EVERY song is played MUCH different musically than the originals, takes just as much time. even vocally, where Maynard made his voice do some crazy changes on almost every song.
definitely APCs weakest album tho
doesnt matter much anymore since APC is dead now

i liked it. imaginae, gimme gimme gimme, passive are all good. your complaining how when the levee breaks is way different and has no life in it, but im pretty sure thats probly the way they wanted it. it has more of that kind of focus on the mood or aura or whatever like 13th step. i liked it. and imagine was really good. way better than the original, seeing as how the beatles are way overrated. take away their influence, and just base it on musical talent. they are not good.
