I'd tell you, but I really have no idea to do a journal enrty anymore. As for Grupa 220 I have actually considered reviewing one of their albums, I'll have to see how much their stuff costs.
Lol
If your interested here is a link to one of their songs on youtube

No worries... The journal is done.
Umm, I wasn't actually seriously re: that review, although if you are up for it I guess. I really am unsure that I want to click on that link!

haha don't worry Davey, I have many reviews lined up for the next few weeks (note I say weeks not months) and I can assure you that none of them contain Yugoslav Psychodelic prog rock, i swear.

Holy crap Kane, I just checked on The Reading/Leeds Festival & it was the one year... Last year. I just couldn't believe bands like Thrice, Alkaline Trio & Gaslight Anthem would be so low down on the bill. I know it was partially because they were playing a smaller stage, but still... Have a look at the main-stage line-up for each of the 3 days. Wow! Can you actually move around from stage to stage or are there too many people? And can you actually get a half-decent spot close to the stage?
It's basically the best festival in England but often gets overlooked because of Glastonbury. Seriously so good. And ya bands like Thrice, Alkaline Trio, Gaslight Anthem etc etc don't have a big following in the UK Moving around is possible but it can be difficult to get near the front. The festivals also well known for huge amounts of drugs - like more so than your average festival. This Message Edited On 02.28.09

Hmmm, my cynical mind smells a swerve here Ross. You are pretty specific that it won't be "Yugoslav psych prog rock". So it could still be Croatian electronica for all I know. Or maybe some Zorba The Greek!
Let those sniffer dogs loose Kane. A girl recently died down under because a sniffer dog was approaching & she panicked & swallowed a few pills. While that was at The Big Day Out rock festival, most trouble with drugs here are at dance raves (which I know exists in Europe as well).
As for the Reading/Leeds festival, that would be awesome to experience. Although I don't mind festivals being kept smaller as there is something rewarding about being 5-10 metres away from the stage which is pretty much where we were all day yesterday.

And just like that... The comments are back!

A swerve, by me...never! In all seriousness the next album I'm going to review is more than likely going to be Cage The Elephant - Cage The Elephant, Boy Kill Boy - Civilian or Cursive - Mama, I'm Swollen (yup, back to indie) depending on which I can be arsed to finish first.
Also 'tis good to see you got this back up with the comments etc. This Message Edited On 03.03.09

Ok, I'll believe you for now Ross. Haha. Of that trio, I've only heard a little Cursive, but will keep an eye out for whichever review comes our way.
Kane, all things going to plan, I'll be in England towards the end of May & at the end of June. I believe it occurs in August, so it's a no-go (or Glastonbury) for me.

Yeah, just London to do the touristy things. It will probably include a trip down to Bath & the Alien Rock formation as well.
As for meeting Def Leppard Croc, that may be difficult since I think only 1 of them lives in England (+ 1 in Ireland, 1 in Holland & 2 in U.S from memory).

Cool, I live like 1 hour from London.

Def Leppard: Yup thats us
Davey: So I sorta reviewed some of your albums online, and I think your a great band, so can we hang out?
Def Leppard:...
3 hours later over a fifth cup of tea
Davey: Well it has been great meeting you guys, all the best
Def Leppard: Yeah see ya round Davey.
Yeah I'm bored.

I bet a certain Arsenal supporter is feeling just a little better since they are back into 4th spot after Villa's shock loss today.
