I'm not saying the drumming isn't good in their other albums, just that it wasn't anything special. There were very few moments when you would go "that is some great drumming". In this album the drumming is better and there are multiple occasions when it really shines, like in Last Call and Friends In The Armed Forces.

I didn't really take to this album in the beginning (except for Friends in the Armed Forces) but this album is a grower. Not sure what my official rating is yet. It seems like a blend of Full Collapse and A City By the Light Divided. Not a bad mixture, but I was hoping more for the FC and WATT combo mentioned in the review.

Full Collapse > War All The Time, but they are still both awesome, and in my opinion both better than this.



This album has a few good songs, a la You were the cancer and As He Climbed The Dark Mountain, but in my opinion this album lacks the cohesive components that Full Collapse and War All The Time had. It's like you're listening to songs instead of an album, if that makes any sense.



Full Collapse and War All The Time tell stories with their songs, Common Existence doesn't.This Message Edited On 03.21.09

Too comparitive but well written.

I actually don't know if I like this album or not...

I have listened to it a few times over, but nothing really clicks.
I can't decide. Possibly because I am listening to it at a time when there
are a lot of new releases also catching my ear, but surely then if this was an
amazing album, then I would love it???

i think this band is quite unique in several ways which ill say when i can find out how to do a review but anyway the songs on this record are amazing and the lyrics fit the music perfectly. Circuits of fever captain north i think thats one of the best songs on the entire album also this is the first album i have heard from them but my mates tell me its up there for the best release to date so GOOOO COMMON EXISTENCE excellent album
