i like this record, one of the few modern CDs i can listen to all the way through without getting bored. the songs seem to all have the same theme though, the intro is pretty much always clean (finger)picked guitar with soft vocals, then it goes distorted and heavy.

like the review. shit band though, reminds me of Staind

might i also add that they have the worst tastes in album covers

Going through my playlist recently, I decided two things:
1) What If is actually a fairly decent song
2) With Arms Wide Open is maybe my least favourite song ever
And contained therein we have the dilemma that was Creed...

Alter Bridge are so much better than Creed. Myles Kennedy is a decent backup guitarist unlike the tool Scott Stapp who held a guitar during live concerts so he wouldn't look like an idiot.

Creed's vocals are ripped off of a hybrid between alice in chains and Pearl Jam. Much like Alice in Chains, Creed's crap sounds all the same.

How can you compare creed to nickleback and Theory of a deadman? Marks guitar work sounded way different than theirs, and they actually wrote lyrics about things other than "my girlfriend left me now im sad". And Alterbridge kicks ass.

To be honest I actually really like 'With Arms Wide Open'. It's a ridiculously sentimental song and I have respect for those ones.

creed actually have some pretty decent songs, particularly off this album. I just can't force myself to sit through more than two or three of them. I really like "Faceless Man" though. And "What If" is pretty sweet too.

how can it be that this record gets such a low average rating on this site? hanvent you realized that this is one of the greatest records ever? tremontis guitar riffs are just amazing, its what got me into playing guitar...

well maybe its because of the lack of breakdowns and screamed vocals in their music xD

I've never actually heard any Creed (though I might recognize it if I hear a song), and seeing the criticism they get, I have no intention to either.
