I endorse that 100%.

seeing as you mentioned it in here rasp, should I check out Leviathan?
I personally don't think Leviathan is all that great. I don't like typical USBM, and Leviathan is pretty typical while Panopticon isn't. Have a read of Karl's review though, see what you think.

Emma's song is fantastic, but Speaking is one of the weaker tracks (it's still good though). The Lay of Grimnir, Archetype, and Flag Burner Torch Bearer all slay. This Message Edited On 01.15.09

First song I heard was Speaking and thought wow, this is good shit. It's got apost rock vibe. I think, but yeah Karl, I will pursue and own in a sheer matter of moments. Tomorrow.

Rasputin you have just been reviewing all the quality USBM bands. First GBK and now this. I haven't heard this, but I'm going to take your word for it that its really good.

Like Panopticon coincidentally?

Get off my back Karl.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's got a post-rock vibe, it's more just an atmospheric element to the music. And comparing this to Isis doesn't work at all.

The first song on their myspace page has a very distinctive post-metal feel. I guess, now that you mention it, post-metal and atmosphere are pretty much the same.
Get off my back Karl.
You love it.This Message Edited On 01.15.09

Yeah, the first half of Speaking is the biggest example of that, it's to a lesser extent on the other songs. It's similar to post-metal in the way it creates an atmosphere, but musically I wouldn't compare them at all, they share no real common ground.
