Hmm, it appears us Australians get a different version of this CD.

Mines called Re-Inventing Hell - The Best Of Pantera, and has a different tracklist. Less covers, more Pantera, slightly different track order, and it came with a DVD of video clips. Meh.This Message Edited On 04.24.06

This is the other version, if anyone cares. Same release year etc, but a different version.

The best Pantera song ever, Floods, isn't on here. Oh well.
Cemetery Gates, Cowboys From Hell, 5 Minutes Alone, Mouth For War, Walk...they all pwn.
It's hard not to admit that they're one of the most influential heavy bands ever, but I never really dug them that much until recently.
And Dime's tone is overrated, but not his playing. His lead tones are beautiful, but I find most of his rhythm tones a bit *meh*

This is most likely one of the best albums that i own and it comes with a DVD is a even better bonus. But Panter is one of the top five bands ever in the world.

For a greatest hits cd it picked pantera's better songs except for Domination is missing. I would of maybe given song of the big hits higher ratings

this album was a let down for a send off to a good band. a good mix of singles and unreleased material would have been better.

I have heard most of the songs hear, and this seems pretty good. But I would also say that although Dimebag Darrel is good, he is a bit overrated. Some of songs had good guitar work, such as Cemetary Gates, but others, like 5 minutes alone are nothing special. Im not saying that I dont like 5 Minutes Alone, im just saying that those songs dont really argue that he was great.

That is kinda true. He didnt really show his abilities in their later work. But Revolution is my Name is an amazing song with some awesome riffs.

The boy won guitar contests...

They had the Glam Rock/Metal era where they could j**k off with all the solos and whatever...

Dime could do it all... there was/is no need to do it all ALL the time!!! The great ones don't show their skills all the time do they? Other than Malmsteen who is still stuck in the 80's LOL

I've got the Best Of version not reviewed here and well, it's great. Sure some songs are missing IMO but that's the greatness of this band... there are LOTS AND LOTS of songs that could be in a Best Of... How many Best Of's have you guys heard that half the songs we just press Skip? See what I mean? This Message Edited On 06.29.07
