"It was an immense project," said Tinsley, who coauthored the 450-page genealogical report. "For instance, it took us months to conclude that Ol' Dirty Bastard, Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus, Osirus, Dirt Dog, and Peanut the Kidnapper were all the same person."

"During its height, the Wu-Tang Clan acquired a great deal of wealth and notoriety," Wilburn said. "One need only look at Ol' Dirty Bastard's dental records to get a sense of the incredible treasures they possessed."

Cocaine, you're in scarce company if you think 'Forever' is the only other good Wu album. How can you rate this album a 5 out of 5, and dislike so much of their other work? I explained in the review, and you should at least try and notice it, Wu-Tang is a very monotonous group. Also their rapping styles aren't relevant if they can't at least show that they're any different, in a song with a beat that consists of a very short loop they aren't adding much fuel to the fire by tediously sounding almost exactly alike.

psilocybin I've mentioned before that rap styles categorized by the culture the genre belongs to can differ without straying completely from the culture, where do you think beefs come from? I really did mention something along the lines of this in a past review, you should read that one too : )This Message Edited On 12.09.08

... doesn't do much to keep the listener interested on its own.

I always find it hilarious when someone writes something like this, when the 'listener' that they are referring is just themself.

and holy shiite, a 3/5 rating. Wow.This Message Edited On 12.09.08

this comment shows so much fail. for a start the other wu albums are nowhere near the same quality as this one, so it's quite easy to see how he might not like so much of their other work. and srsly, wu-tang aren't monotonous, the rappers all have their own distinct sound and are all pretty awesome. honestly what does this even mean? "Also their rapping styles aren't relevant if they can't at least show that they're any different". and one other thing, the beats on this are great.

Please show me anyone in Wu who raps like ODB.

When each person comes on I can tell who each one is very easily. Monotonous is a horrible description.

You also pointed out the production being bad even for the time. All the early Wu albums are like that, it wouldn't sound right with all this clean polished sound; it's gritty for a reason.
