Yeah, can you believe that Brent? Ludicrous indeed! LOL.
I hope school eases off for you AmericnZero. As for Rise Against, another 'The Sufferer & The Witness' would have been fine by me, but I guess that wasn't really realistic. And yeah, I agree about your perceived filler comment. 'The Strength To Go On' is one of the better songs on 'Appeal To Reason' but gets a bad rap since it is in that mid-section where I can understand if some people don't like the tracks around it. I sooooo can't wait to see them live for the first time in March!

Ross, well at least you haven't said that you hate those tracks you have listened to... Coz then I'd be flat out wrong.
|

Yeah, didn't hate them, they just sort of drifted past and I cant really say I have an opinion on them yet, even a first one. And speaking of Rise Against, I'm looking forward to seeing them play too (see them in feb) although I'm gutted Thrice only supported the American dates, anyone know who replaced them?

I'm with you Ross... The American tour quartet of Rise Against, Thrice, Gaslight Anthem & Alkaline Trio would have been absolutely awesome. Rise Against's support down under is Sweden's (The International) Noise Conspiracy, who I have only heard tidbits from at this stage. Maybe check RA's website to see if it has been announced.
Kane; Shhhhh.

Great timing! Altmer, if possible, let us know how they play & also a rough tally of what they play from each album. I'm also planning on seeing them live at the end of February.
My guess is that they will only play 1-2 songs off of 'Tales...'. Hell, when I saw them live last year, they were touring for that album and yet only played 4 tracks off of it (from memory). The set was very 'Casually Dressed...' heavy. But I am almost certain they will play quite a few cuts off this album for you...

I take Kane seriously... Well, the normal everday Kane anyway... It seems that Zipper brings out an alter-ego though...
Zipper, you're not on some kind of commission where you get extra brownie points if you get people banned, are you?
Anyway, Rise Against & FFAF both rule in my books... & that's the bottom line coz DaveyBoy said so!

Haha and disagreeing with DaveyBoy is like a sin or something.

Ahh , Stone Cold Steve Austin. What a BA.
Haven't heard this new one by FFAF. I like their older stuff, the newer output didn't catch me though. This Message Edited On 12.05.08

No no Ross, disagreeing with me is not a sin at all. There are no religious connotations involved at all. It is however against the law... The law of (as PhantomLimb informed)... Stone Cold.
PhantomLimb, I'd actually be interested to know if you like this when you do give it a listen coz it definitely attempts to emulate the band's earlier sound to a certain extent.
