It's definitly one of the best albums of 08...but it's been kind of a slow year...or maybe I just haven't found the right albums.. Which is it? Any hidden gems I should know about?

^^They seem pretty valid, imo.

Haha, guess you have a point... although I remember a very early Norma Jean live-video (just before the release of Bless), where Arron joined them on stage and got down Village-People-hissy-fit-style!

But yeah, also lyrically and vocal wise the La Dispute guy might be a bit more "homosexual", I guess

He really does. Still an 08-favorite of mine though.

The first track is amazing and also amazingly frustrating. I'd pay money for them to finish it off with like three more minutes satisfying the climax. I'm still in love with this album.

was gonna mention how i hate when 'such small hands' ends just when they couldve totally gone mental but saw natey just made that point.

the first bit of 'fall down, never get back up again' is kind of reminiscent of 'messes of men' by mewithoutyou but thats pretty much the only thing i find really similar between the two bands. also, ive decided the last minute and a half of 'said the king to the river' is my favourite part of the record.

I type about 130. I would think with enough typing one would just get fast.

Just realised that's a poem from ee cummings: nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands.
