Maybe. I usually find the crowd is pumped at the start and end. Unless your at an Iron Maiden gig, then everyone is mental throughout the entire set.

"What did you mean when you said "they don't do much live"...??? I would have thought they would have been great live..."
sorry, don't get me wrong, they are absolutley brilliant. I meant they don't move much. they just stand there (nothing wrong with that), just don't expect an over the top lights show with pyro etc.

Ahhh, they have a touch of statue-itis about them. Yeah, I don't ahve too much of a problem with that, although it occasionally adds to the show if there is some movement. I suppose it is also the down side of having a lead singer who plays guitar. But put it this way, I'd rather that than having a bass player jumping around as if they are playing a Hendrix solo.
Alligator, don't forget to head on over to my 'Truth Crushed To Earth...' review for the news-flash and to place your bet...

I just fucking love this band. Have you heard the new album Davey?

No, I hadn't realised it was out yet.
I wasn't huge on 'Humbug', although it was still solid. I'm excepting this newie to be more of the same.

It's not out yet, but I definitely like it more than Humbug right now. People need to realise that they won't go back to the ways of this and their debut (even though I would love it if they made an album like their debut again)

Yeah, they have definitely moved on, even if I would have preferred they explored that sound a little more. Basically, I wanted them to get 'FWN' spot on.

The Arctic Monkeys mature (too much)
You mean they immediately grew to the point where they would be able to retire?

Haha. Not quite (although they probably made enough money from their debut). I meant they got ahead of themselves & tried to be too ambitious too early.

Don't mind the new album actually. It starts off rather slow but it picks it self up quite nicely around the fourth track or so (haven't become familiar with the names yet)

As long as it's better than 'Humbug' (which I didn't hate, but...)

And rightfully so

Of course, they could have been taken for a ride back when they were so young.

To me the album starts to get good when this track comes on

Yeah, I really like Library Pictures and Don't Sit Down, but I think the songs before that are great too (Black Treacle, Brick By Brick)
Do you like it better than Humbug, Dev?

Album Rating: 3.5
Yeah, I think that's the lead single as it is the only song I have heard thus far.
