I gave the album a 3.5 simply because it's not this good. It's good alright, but not a 5 after repeated listens.
And IMO the intro was very well written. Pretentious, yes, but extremely well written.

It's hard to put forth one's feelings about an album when there that strong without coming off as pretentious, even if you don't mean to.
Personally I've listened to this several dozen times and it's still in my top 5 albums ever.
