I mean this isn't a bad album...just I've listened to the whole thing twice and nothing has really jumped out at me yet...maybe I need to just listen to it without multitasking with schoolwork and stuff...

You mean Sons of the Fallen Nation hasn't jumped out at you yet?

Honestly, I think this is their best record. I like Burning Bridges a lot. I actually liked When Everything Falls well enough. Pressure the Hinges was decent. But this takes the more brutal sound presented on Burning Bridges and marries it to the ever present but improved melodic moments on Pressure the Hinges. And it adds a certain level of experimentalism in the last three songs that normally isn't present.

Though not a huge departure, I think they took enough risks and wrote great enough songs to make this the great album that it is. It won't be leaving my CD player for awhile.

Burning Bridges was there greatest album....When everything falls and pressure the hinges were both complete garbage. Dreamer on the other hand is a good sign if you ask me. The new vocalist shows he can be a good one, and this album compared to the previous two sounds the most like burning bridges....the haste the day i know and love

Listened to the album again and...I guess Sons of the Fallen Nation is pretty good...so are 68 and a few others...I think thats the problem though...to me there isn't much here that's just awesome or that just reaches out and kicks you in the face...a few songs are pretty good but that's really the extent of it...I'll probably come back again later and listen to it when I'm bored but I still can't see this going anywhere higher than a 3 for me if that...

I really hope this is better than 'When Everything Falls' because that wasn't really all that good.

I really dig the song "Haunting." I also thorougly enjoy "Invoke Reform." I find it much heavier and somehow also much catchier than When Everything Falls or Pressure the Hinges. I've listened to it probably seven times now. And it's still incredible.

*shrugs* Matter of opinion I guess.

Hmm, decent album but it didn't really hit me in my first listen.

Just relistened again and liked it MUCH more...upped to 3.5 I'm also relistening all of their other albums, and this seems about even with Pressure right now. This is probably their most solid album, really aren't any weak tracks.

I guess I was a little too hasty (OMGPUNLOL) with my rating. I've really, really been digging this now. I find that with all of the

other HtD albums, there are a few tracks that do nothing for me, like the two two minute long songs on Burning Bridges, (which

are decent, just not as good as the rest of the album) about half of the songs on When Everything Songs, and Needles on PtH.

Though I could say songs like Babylon and Labyrinth are definitely the weakest here, they are still pretty damn great. I'm not sure,

but I may like this more than Burning Bridges...it's hella close though.

Haunting is their best song since Blue 42.This Message Edited On 10.19.08

I'm going to agree with bodom. At first listen, it's decent. Further listening proves it to be a really great album with a great repeat play value. I've been listening to it almost non-stop since I got it. And I find myself enjoying it more and more. Finding new things to like. And appreciating the experimenting the band did even more.

I will applaud this album with no hesitance. And I can't wait to see them live again now that this bad boy is out.

meh maybe, it drags on far too long, like American Love. Substance is their best imo.

American Love is a bit overrarated imo, but still one of their best songs. Would probably make my top 10.

Agree with the comment about American Love.

I absolutely love Burning Bridges. When Everything Falls was pretty good, and Pressure The Hinges was kinda meh (although Chorus Of Angels was massively epic).

This is a good review by the way.
