Someone who is good at reviewing (not myself) should review this. It deserves much better.
Get the fuck out of here. I think rasputin has explained himself enough and he simply put this into context with all of the other death metal he has listened to in the past. I would really like to see you write better and justify your word as well as rasputin has done.

Looks like there's a bit of dissension amongst the ranks. I, for one, love this damn thing. Behest of Their Death, Earthrot and Hades Rising are the best things this band's done.

There are some good songs but I dunno...death metal has just really really grown off of me lately...one can only take so many blast-beats before everything sounds the same...

If blast beats wear you out, do yourself a favor and stay faaaar away from 95% of black metal lol

123, those are my favorites on the album. Don't have any of their other stuff though.

I used to love both death and black metal a lot...just grown out of it I guess...blasts in general don't wear me out just the way every DM/BM band uses them in every song they write haha

Right, that's more like what I meant. The only reason blasts might wear you out is cause there's just too damn many of them.

Nice.
And NMF is a bit more solid overall than this, but the great tracks on here (like the ones I listed) have no equals.

I think blast-beats will end up killing death metal...at least I hope so...

Or it'll create a new sub-genre called
killing death metal
For good measure the album title "The Fathomless Mastery" is in no way talking about the band. If you read any of the lyrics and even glanced at the artwork you could figure that out. It's obviously referring to some sort of disease/apocalyptic event resulting in hell on earth.
You're an idiot if you can't see that my reference to the album title was an attempt at a quirky hook for the review. You're also a fucking idiot if you just negged this because you disagree with me.
|

You should be aware of how the idiots lurking around the sputniks are by now...haha
|
| |
Yeah, it's more fun picking them out though.

"The Fathomless Mastery it seems that Bloodbath are literally screaming ‘LOOK AT US PLAY AWESOME DETH METUL’ on every track."
I thought maybe the home of shit reviews and shit opinions had changed over the past year but obviously it hasn't.
|
| |
Oh right, so that quote was meant to prove that my review is shit or something? Try again, retard.

Isn't that the point of all death metal though? Oh and way to miss the point of reviewing an album tard...This Message Edited On 10.09.08

Ominous Inane was bitching about Vertebrae not holding up to Enslaved's high standards not too long ago so i'm not suprised he's rearing his head here again, being completely unimportant and irrelevant to the good graces of sputnik. This Message Edited On 10.09.08

If Ominous Inane actually knew anything about the band, he'd realise that they are different from other death metal bands in that they are actually doing it for fun, just because they want to get some old school death going. They used to be quite subtle about it, but with this album it's just hard to take them seriously anymore.
